Bright Candle Software is a fast growing company that thrives on entrepreneurship and creativity. We provide a cutting edge solution to contest and product marketing through entertaining games. It's an exciting industry that offers invaluable experience and Bright Candle is at the forefront. We're based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, home of short commutes and some of our favorite breweries.

Bright Candle was founded in 2008 when D'Arcy Mann noticed the number of models uploading portfolio after portfolio to facebook groups to enter modelling contests. Someone had to go through the group wall and count up all the votes (eek!) and, even worse, the model's entries linked back to their facebook profiles, which gave potential cyberstalkers the models real names (and occasionally the cities they lived in).

So we created Models & Moguls. This site lets models upload one portfolio and enter multiple contests. It also gives contest promoters a single place to run contests reaching a large pool of models without having to send out spammy messages begging people to enter their contest. Vote counts are automated, and models can ask members of their entourage on the site to vote for them in every contest they enter.

Our team of journalists regularly publish articles on fashion & modelling, including the pitfalls of the industry annd what to watch out for.

Programmer
Bright Candle's technology team is an agile group of developers that are able to work quickly and efficently. We're looking for self-motivated programmers who understands multiple code languages. Candidates must be adept at PHP, Linux, Apache, MySQL, JavaScript, XML, and AJAX. An independant person that is able to work well with minimal supervision, but mesh well with our existing team. You must be passionate about learning and coding.

Graphic Designer
Do you have a jaw dropping portfolio? We appreciate a great artist when we see one. A strong emphasis on logo, typography and ad design is preferred. Some decent understanding of code is also a big plus.

Marketing Assistant
Bright Candle is looking for a hands-on person who understands the power and challenges of brand building. Someone with fresh ideas and up to speed with the latest advances in social media and online marketing. You must be a multi-tasker and willing to take on new challenges.
